My 70 lbs Weight Loss Story

kate7760

Welcome to my blog! If you’re here, it’s because you’re ready for change. Maybe you’re feeling stuck, frustrated, or overwhelmed by the idea of losing weight. Maybe you’ve tried everything and nothing seems to work. Let me tell you: I understand. I’ve been there. And I’m here to tell you that you’re not alone—and change is possible. This post is for you: to inspire, guide, and show you what’s possible when you take it one step at a time.

This is my story of how I lost 70 pounds, but more importantly, it’s about how you can find your own path to health and happiness. Whether you’re at the start of your journey or somewhere along the way, I hope my experience will give you the motivation and tools you need to succeed.

The Struggle: Facing the Mirror

For years, I felt stuck. I’d try diets, exercise programs, prescriptions and quick fixes, only to find myself right back where I started. Worse, I felt defeated—like my weight defined who I was. The turning point came when my son was diagnosed with borderline childhood obesity and I knew the only way to help him was to help myself too. It wasn’t just about appearance for me; it was about feeling good in my skin and living the full, vibrant life I deserved. Medically I was in a tailspin and something had to give... so many medications, surgeries and doctors.

But the question was: where do I start?

The Turning Point: Small Changes, Big Results

I didn’t have a magic moment where everything fell into place. Instead, it was a series of small, intentional choices that eventually led to big changes. Here are the key steps I took:

  1. Changing My Mindset: Instead of thinking about losing weight as punishment or deprivation, I reframed it as self-care. Each meal, workout, and choice became an act of love for myself.

  2. Finding What Works for Me: I learned that there’s no one-size-fits-all solution. For me, it was about:

    • Following a balanced, sustainable eating plan.

    • Focusing on whole, unprocessed foods.

    • Allowing myself treats in moderation so I wouldn’t feel deprived.

    • Utlizing supplementation to fuel my body so it functioned better!

  3. Staying Active: I started small—taking short walks, dancing in my living room, and eventually incorporating strength training. Exercise became something I looked forward to because it made me feel strong and capable. Truth is, this is still a challenge but as I head into my 50's I want to be STRONG.

  4. Building a Support System: I leaned on friends, family, and online communities for encouragement. Sharing my journey made me feel less alone.

  5. Tracking My Progress: I celebrated every milestone, whether it was losing 5 pounds or being able to run a mile without stopping. Being able to eaily pass up sugary treats was a big WIN! Progress, no matter how small, kept me motivated.

My Favorite Tools and Resources

Throughout my journey, I discovered tools and products that made a huge difference. Here are some of my must-haves:

  • My FAVORITE Low Carb Finds: These products made the journey so much easier. Finding foods that met my needs and actually tasted good was key!

  • The Supplements that changed it all: Pure therapeutic ketones gave me control over my appetite so I could make better choices as well as energy to move my body and solid sleep, mental focus and happier moods. I mix the yummy powder in water and drink at least once a day. These, all natural, ketone supplements put you in therapeutic ketosis within 60 minutes.

  • My Go-To Protein Powder: This helped me stay full and curb cravings. I put it in my coffee every morning and I'm not hungry for HOURS!

What I’ve Learned

Losing weight is about so much more than the number on the scale. It’s about reclaiming your confidence, feeling strong, and knowing you’re capable of incredible things. If you’re just starting out, here’s my advice:

  • Be Kind to Yourself: Progress takes time. Celebrate every step forward.

  • Focus on the Journey: Don’t get so caught up in the destination that you forget to appreciate the changes along the way.

  • Find What Brings You Joy: Whether it’s a favorite healthy recipe, a workout class, or a self-care ritual, joy is a powerful motivator.

Lastly, what you might be most shocked by is that I was able to turn my passion for health into a financial win. My health was in the tank and medical debt crushed us... but as I found a solution to turn my health around, I was able to share the same products with others, and that transformed our lives. The more people I helped, the better our finances became helping us to pay off debt. From foreclosure to earning over a million dollars wasn't over night and it took training (provided by the company). You’ve got this. I believe in you!
