Results from my 5 Day Egg Fast


So the results are IN!


Yes, I went 5 complete days of only eating eggs! WHY?

  1. To break a plateau

  2. To get Fasting benefits (clarity and energy)

  3. To see what would happen

  4. To break a plateau lol!


I love different types of Fasts.... Intermittent Fasting, Extended Fasting and I do an amazing 3 day Fastinng Detox every few months.

The benefits of fasting are VAST! Just use the "googles" and you'll find how they improve mental clarity and are actually anti-aging. I'm 100% supportive of fasting for anyone who is looking to improve their health game. As always, it's a good idea to get your doctor's input if you have medical conditions and of course, if you struggle with eating disorders, fasting can be a trigger.


With the disclaimers completed, let's talk about what I did.


Morning - Protein/Fat Coffee (this isn't mandatory but it's my JAM and I'm not giving it up plus it falls in line with the goal here (protein and fat) and it's not actually food.

What is my Protein/Fat Coffee??? I add Keto//OS Pro (ketones & high quality protein powder) plus Keto Kreme (MCT and collagen) to my coffee. Starts my day in ketosis, great protein and fat so I'm not hungry for hours plus all the other health benefits.


Lunch - 3-4 eggs. However you like them cooked. You need to add FAT so extra butter, healthy oils and or mayonnaise is great. You can also add sauces and spices. Mix it up.

Dinner - 4 eggs. SAME!


This is pretty simple and hard to mess up friends. If you want eggs for breakfast - eat 1-2.


Stay hydrated!!! 1/2 your body weight in ounces daily and a good electrolyte is helpful!


RESULTS!!!

After 5 days, I lost 7 lbs. My husband lost 9. Mine energy and mood is amazing and my sleep was so solid.


Unexpected benefits - saved me $$$. We ate for less than $5/day during this Egg Fast. I also LOVED not having to think about food and what I was cooking. Cook time was always fast and I could get on with life.


I will say... I was GLAD to eat my first meal. It might be next week before I eat another egg. lol


What next??? Well, I'm curious to see if the weight stays off. I'm actually on a business/leisure vacation in Dallas for 7 days. I don't plan to stick to any diet, as a matter of fact, today I ate a slice of pizza and a cup of ice cream. However, I'm not super hungry so I'm not eating a large amount of food.

When I get home, I will going Carnivore for awhile (I just feel best on this diet) so be sure to follow if that is something you are interested in.


Overall, this was a great experience and I would do it again.


Side notes...

  1. I did NOT exercise but did walk 20 minutes 2 days - results would probably have been even more staggering with some movement added in.

  2. I also still drank my ketone supplements because DUH... they are LIFE and don't break a fast of anyking. Ketones were in my coffee and I drank a fruity Keto Nat every afternoon. If you are intereested in learning more about that, go HERE .
